Barranquilla, 17 de marzo de 2021.- Se dieron a conocer las nominaciones en la edición número 93 de los Premios Oscar de la academia de Hollywood, donde setenta mujeres recibieron 76 nominaciones, un récord para este 2021. Una de Aesas sorpresas es que por primera vez dos mujeres, Emerald Fennell y Chloé Zhao, fueron nominadas en la categoría de Mejor Director. Y otra de las sorpresas es que Zhao es la primera mujer de color en ser nominada en una de las grandes categorías.

El largomentraje de la empresa Netklix “Mank”, un drama en blanco y negro que relata el desarrollo del guión para la reconocida película “El Ciudadano Caín”, la trama se desarrolló por el guionista Herman J. Mankiewicz. La película tiene10 nominaciones. Tres hombres de raza negra, Leslie Odom Jr. por “Una noche en Miami”, y Daniel Kaluuya y Lakeith Stanfield por “Judas y el Mesías Negro”, están nominados en el categoría de mejor actor de reparto. La ceremonia de premiación será el domingo 25 de abril del 2021 en el Dolby Theatre de la ciudad de los Ángeles.
